Medical Transcriptionist

The Medical Transcriptionist will be responsible for transcribing and editing recorded dictation from healthcare professionals, including physicians, to create written reports. The Medical Transcriptionist will need to be fluent in medical terminology and have excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of the reports.
Responsibilities:
-Transcribe recorded dictation from healthcare professionals, including physicians, into written report
-Edit and proofread reports for accuracy and completeness
-Ensure timely delivery of completed reports to healthcare professionals
-Maintain confidentiality of all patient and medical facility information
-Follow all internal policies and procedures related to document production and control
-Maintain an understanding of medical and scientific terminology to accurately transcribe reports
Qualifications:
-Minimum 2-4 year of experience required
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
-Certificate or associate’s degree in medical transcription/Medical Scribing or related field preferred
-Knowledge and experience with computer software programs, including transcription software, electronic health records, and speech recognition software
-Excellent typing skills and accuracy in written communication
-Knowledge of medical terminology and transcription guidelines
-Strong attention to detail
