Microsoft's X Cloud Gaming

Geo to launch Project X Cloud Gaming System in India The launch of the innovative gaming system in India in partnership with Jio was announced last week during a meeting between Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in Mumbai.

Microsoft’s X Cloud Gaming is very similar to Stadia, a cloud gaming system introduced by Google a few months ago. The game is available in Microsoft Cloud, where users can subscribe to the game without having to buy or download games. Both companies intend to introduce the 5G Internet-enabled system through Geo.

Nadella jokingly told Fireside Chat that Ambani could be a gamer in the next decade. Ambani said in his reply that although gaming does not really exist in India, it has huge potential. The chat between the two seems to be promoting the growth of gaming in the country, but it is unclear what role Jio will play in bringing Project XCloud to India.
