Job Title: Marine/Offshore Structural Engineer
Job Summary: Global Maritime Consultants Group (GMCG) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine/Offshore Structural Engineer to join our team in Cochin. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing feasibility studies, front-end engineering design (FEED), and detailed engineering projects for fixed platform offshore and other marine structures. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who can work independently and communicate effectively with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering projects for fixed platform and offshore structures.
Develop and review structural calculations, design and construction drawings, and specifications using software such as STAAD, SACS and ANSYS.
Conduct structural analysis and design, including fatigue and fracture analysis.
Collaborate with other engineers and technical disciplines to develop integrated solutions.
Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Develop project schedules and budgets and monitor progress against targets.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical/ Marine/ Structural Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in fixed platform offshore and marine structures design and engineering.
Experience in feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering projects.
Strong understanding of structural calculations, design drawings, and specifications using software such as CAD, STAAD, SACS and ANSYS.
Experience with structural analysis and design, including fatigue and fracture analysis as per Class rules and standard codes.
Excellent communication and project leadership skills.
Data-driven mindset with excellent mathematical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience in fabrication, working offshore or in remote locations is an asset.
