Job Skills

Education: M. Sc in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology
Experience: minimum 6-9 years of experience in Product Development
Expert-level tasting skills with an expert level ability to understand how to adjust a seasoning formulation in the direction needed for modifications
Project management skills with a proven successful track record with regional and global CPG companies
Expert level knowledge of local and regional regulatory requirements for seasonings

Job Responsibilities

Responsible to compound & Blend seasoning samples as requested for customer briefs, Category, application need, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing.
Responsible to create seasoning & blends with an advanced level of understanding of functionality, flavor, taste & texture
Responsible to coordinate the evaluation of seasoning internally or through external agencies
Responsible to implement daily brief-related tasks managing assigned projects and provide seasonings that meet all defined customer needs, meet good manufacturing practices, commercial scale-up requirements, regulatory compliance.
Responsible for spice blends & seasoning development projects, understanding in-trend consumer preferences, and co-create exciting spice ingredient solutions suited to each customer requirement.
Responsible for providing application solutions to the savory and culinary application category.

Job Duties

Be a technical expert to marketing, sales, and customers for the flavor profile, raw materials, and nutritional aspects of multiple seasoning types and can discuss the science behind the aspects of seasoning performance
Understand the target market flavor preferences within South East Asia; China, India, the Middle East & Europe.
To coordinate the participation of other technical functions directly related to executing customer briefs (sensory, consumer understanding, regulatory, flavor delivery, manufacturing)
Provide technical support & resolve seasoning production issues and customer complaints with complete ownership for the created seasonings.
Anticipate, investigate and resolve problems with application prototypes, applying new ingredients and technologies, flavor systems, and finished prototypes.
Coach, train, motivate and manage the team in cross-functional training.
